How Can You Be Free If... You’re Denying Your Genius?
What happens when you bring all of you, including your work, into alignment.
Last week, I asked:
What if I went all in on the things I’m naturally good at…
Not just half-arsed it, like I did a couple of times.
What if I could mash everything I can do and enjoy into one ‘thing’?
Creative work, writing, web design and a genuine passion to help others transition an identity shift/spiritual awakening based on my experience.
I found I was subconsciously denying the techie in me, a ‘part’ I actually enjoy.
Partly because I know the fundamental work of becoming is internal, in the subconscious.
When I stopped denying it and acknowledged and accepted it with gratitude instead, something clicked, and the fog cleared.
Here’s what I learned.
We have all the core ingredients already within us to make something wonderful of our lives.
Some come naturally, some we must cultivate, but that’s not the issue.
The issue is we often cast the very ingredients that make us unique aside, with some frivolous crappy excuse. I could fill a book with them…
It boils down to the mind saying:
‘I can’t do what I really love because that’s just not possible for ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOP… reasons.’
This myth needs to be destroyed, now more than ever.
AI will wildly disrupt the world of work.
How that plays out is up for debate.
Many career paths, job markets and college degrees are going to disappear.
The way to surf this wave is to know ourselves inside out, then use all we have at our disposal to be of service in a way only we can.
This is how we become irreplaceable.
Yesterday, my friend told me about some guy who has a PHD in aluminium.
“I bet he can’t even weld it, he said…” I’d believe it.
It’s no longer required to become an intellectual expert in isolated subjects.
Many creative entrepreneurial types will need to create a coherent ‘constellation’ out of what makes them unique, so they can offer something that no one else can, authentically. No pretending required.
This is a moment in time to combine various things we love into something unique.
We’re empowered like never before.
The most random, seemingly unrelated interests can be connected and combined in ways we may not have thought of before.
The trick is to look inward, not out.
All the pieces are there, but if we’re only looking at trends or copying the next guy, we’ll miss what’s right under our noses.
YOU Are The USP.
It takes all we've got to succeed in society's eyes, which often means a career that drains the soul.
It takes all we've got to truly succeed at doing what we love, in a way only we can.
The choice is ours.
It didn’t dawn on me that I could combine things I love into one ‘thing’: creative work, writing, web design, with the journey of spiritual awakening.
Now it makes total sense. What makes this unique is that it blends:
Deep coaching to help with the inner identity shift (clarity on inner blocks, shadow work, emotional healing, values, mission, purpose, VIBES, etc) with →
Creative web design and writing to mirror that shift in a professional website that fully resonates with who you are becoming and what you’re offering, in a coherent, magnetic way.
What I’m seeing more and more is that a business of one is not just about survival, it’s a mirror and a vehicle for your soul's growth.
From my experience, aligning your work with what you love requires a lot, but it’s worth it, and I believe it’s very possible for anyone who fully believes and trusts their gut.
If you’re a creative/entrepreneur on the cusp of reinvention, in the process of an identity shift, and you need a website (new or upgrade), let me know.
I’m busy creating an offer that really works.
It will combine coaching with a professional website that helps you write your next chapter… showcasing who you truly are and why what you’re offering matters.
I believe what makes this so powerful isn’t just the website. Anyone can throw a site up these days. Very few can translate the authentic essence of a person.
Most people copy what’s out there. Same style. Same words/tone.
The “done thing” becomes the way it’s done.
But with AI churning out generic content, copycats are becoming obsolete.
Unique and authentic will be the only thing that works very soon.
I'm excited to share what I come up with over the next couple of weeks.
